Procedure
Apply by sprayer, brush, roller, paint pad, or dip tank. Flood coat and

rough sawn siding or fencing. For maximum protection, especially on
siding, Timber-Tek Clear UV Topcoat recommended for a third coat.
New, smooth wood may only absorb 1-2 coats.
Coverage
Coverage always depends on age, moisture level, and porosity of the wood.
Rough sawn cedar siding or shingles: 100-150 square feet per gallon net
coverage (allow for 2 coats of semi-transparent stain and 1 clear topcoat)
Cedar shake roofs: 75-100 square feet per gallon net (1 heavy flood coat)
Smooth cedar, fir, pine, or redwood: 150-175 square feet per gallon net
(2-3 coats)
Exotic woods, mahogany, ironwood, ipei, Port Orford cedar: 200-250 square
feet per gallon net (2 coats)
Maintenance
Lightly pressure-wash wood or scrub with soft bristle brush and mild
detergent as needed. Clean horizontal surfaces more often than vertical
surfaces. Apply maintenance coats as needed to thoroughly cleaned wood.
Stripping wood prior to maintenance coating is not necessary.
